RATING: this one is pretty schweet.

I initally learned about this game through a random fan AMV I found on YouTube that was centered around two of the main cast.

It then kinda just sat in the back of my mind for what felt like a good year or so, until I randomly decided to start looking more into it while I was on vacation one summer.

I am honestly impressed by just how much mileage this game was able to get out of the default RPG Maker VX Ace assets that every new project starts out with.

The battles are also a whole lot of fun. They're snappy and have just the right amount of crunch to them, and all the skill animations are super neat and help a lot with communicating the personalities of all the different party members you can have.

the story wasn't half bad either.
still need to start the post-story though.

Be aware though that the game is primarily offered in Japanese, and has no official English translation. English, Russian, and Korean fan translations of older versions exist out there, if you know where to look.
There is a playthrough of an old English translation on YouTube as well. Playing the game while translating yourself is also an option.
